Jason Stewart said he loves that his job is constantly changing.

“There are so many different roles within an agency,” he said. “You don’t really know what you’re going to be doing next week.”

Stewart graduated from Ok-lahoma State University’s Institute of Technology in 2001 with a degree in graphic design.

After college, he worked for a design studio in Tulsa for a year before moving to Northwest Arkansas to work as a designer for Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Stewart began working at Saatchi & Saatchi X in 2006 as an art director, and was promoted to associate creative director in 2007.

Working in shopper marketing is a perfect fit, he said.

“I love retail and the pace of it,” he said. “I can’t see myself doing anything else.”

Since 2011, his team has won four Effie Awards for effective marketing communications.

Stewart said he the key to being successful is to enjoy what you do.

“I think you need to be happy and feel like you’re fulfilled,” he said. “If you love it, you can be good at it and have a passion for it and everything else will come.”

Stewart spends his free time volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas, restoring old cars and hanging out with his family.

Finding a balance between work and family is important, he advises other young professionals.
