D-G, Daily Record Differ on Pinnacle Story (Media Review)

The headline on Page 1 in the Oct. 6 issue of The Benton County Daily Record screamed “New Pinnacle venture unveiled” in extra-large type.

But we thought Matthew Walter, reporter for the Daily Record’s sister publication the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, described the groundbreaking better.

“After unveiling plans for a retail center on Pinnacle Hills Parkway in Rogers last year,” he wrote, “the Pinnacle Group of real estate developers broke ground Tuesday on an office building at the site instead.”

The developers — Bill Schwyhart, Tim Graham, Robert Thornton and J.B. Hunt — still plan to build the much-ballyhooed Pinnacle Hills Promenade, just across the street from its original site.
