Sam Culpepper plans to open a new Subway Sandwich Shop in early March in Springdale’s Signature Square shopping center.
Culpepper currently operates nine Subway restaurants in Fayetteville and Springdale.
He bought his first Subway in Fayetteville in 1990. That store, at the corner of Township and Gregg streets, is now 20 years old.
Culpepper said Subway eateries range from 1,250 to 1,500 SF in size.
The five Subway restaurants in Fayetteville brought in a total of $1.4 million in sales in 2003, according to city tax records. That averages out to $283,500 per restaurant.
