Frazier, Mayfield Move Up Ladder

Spencer Frazier, the new general manager of the Wal-Mart team at J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. in Lowell, was promoted recently from a mid-level executive post in the truckload carrier’s dedicated contract services division. That makes him the head honcho of coordinating all of Hunt’s business with the world’s largest company including trucking, intermodal and dedicated services.

We’re told Shawn Mayfield, the last guy in Frazier’s post, was recruited to become director of sales for Hunt’s new outsourcing services group because of his knack for enterprising. Mayfield also has responsibilities related to serving Georgia-Pacific Railroad Co.

Both are apparently on the fast track and part of a larger effort afoot at Hunt to enhance its service by offering more integrated services companywide.
