Hospitality Guide Becomes Passport XNA
Tracey Trout published two issues of the Ozark Hospitality Guide in 2003 before changing the name to Passport XNA and adopting a slick, full-color magazine format in January. The first issue of the new quarterly magazine contains 32 pages and is free to the public.
“I wanted to hit newcomers, but basically I’m hitting the white-collar market,” said Trout, who also owns an advertising firm called & agency in Lowell.
Trout said she has targeted vendors to Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville as well as employees of Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale as potential readers. The magazine is being distributed at several locations, including Barnes & Noble bookstores and local hotels.
The first issue was printed by Print-It-All.com of Joplin, Mo. Trout said 25,000 copies were being circulated in Washington, Benton and Carroll counties.
Michael J. Trout, Tracey Trout’s husband, is serving as editor-in-chief of the new magazine.
