DaySpring Cards announced in mid-January that it had acquired two greeting card lines from Bob Siemon Designs Financial details about the acquisition were not released.

DaySpring, the Siloam Springs maker and distributor of Christian greeting cards, employs 400 people and has annual sales of nearly $70 million.

Bob Siemon Designs, a manufacturer and distributor of inspirational jewelry and gift products in Santa Ana, Calif., was founded in 1969.

Siemon’s Connections line and the Robes & Sandals line, the divisions that sold, feature artwork by Steve and Carl Bjorkman. The artwork has been sold to Christian bookstores since 1996.

“Although DaySpring has produced Christian greeting cards for decades and has become the world’s leading Christian greeting card company, we are fortunate to acquire these two card lines because they closely complement our existing products and our business,” said DaySpring President James Barnett.

Bob Siemon, founder of his namesake company, said in the same release that he was the one who approached DaySpring. The Siloam Springs parent, which sells more than 6,000 products annually in the United States and 58 foreign countries, became a subsidiary of Hallmark Inc. 1999.
