A $5,000 donation has helped Arts Live Theatre Inc. launch a scholarship fund to enable area youth who can’t afford the tuition to participate in Arts Live classes and programs including after-school classes, summer camps, and stage productions offered by Arts Live Theatre.

Tess Gibbs, board of directors president for Arts Live, donated the $5,000 to create the fund. The fund has been named the “Bumpin Scholarship Fund,” in honor Gibbs, who is a registered clown with a comedic alterego named “Bumpin.”

Arts Live Theatre, a non-profit organization established in 1984, conducts after-school and summer programs, as well as most of its productions, in partnership with the Walton Arts Center.
