Five Funds Join NWACF

The Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation Inc. recently announced that five new funds totaling $130,000 have been added to its previous endowment portfolio of $5.5 million. The new funds include:r

• The Beau Foundation Fund, created by Terry and Gwen Matthews in memory of their late son, Beau Alexander Matthews. The fund will make recommendations for grants to be used for prenatal healthcare needs in the region.r

• The Bentonville/Bella Vista Trailblazers Association Fund is dedicated to the development of Lake Bella Vista as a park and linking its trailhead with a system of trails joining Bella Vista and Bentonville.r

• Life Styles Inc., another agency endowment fund. Life Styles was founded in 1976 as a transitional living and training facility for adults with development disabilities in Washington County. r

• The Siloam Springs Community Improvement Fund will support community projects and other development goals. r

• The Carl McKinney Charitable Remainder Trust, originally created by Carl and Allene McKinney in 1989 for a variety of charitable causes including scholarships to vocational technical schools. r
