The owners of Slim Chicken’s plan to open a store in Benton County by summer and to being franchising the concept by late next year.r
“Five years down the road, I’d like to see 50 of these things all over the place,” said Ryan Hodson. “That’s our goal.”r
Slim Chickens is owned by Hodson, Tom Gordon and Greg Smart. They opened the prototype restaurant in February at 2120 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Hodson said the next Slim Chickens will likely be in Rogers or Bentonville. A Springdale location is likely to follow.r
Hodson said he is currently writing an operations manual and franchising handbook.r
Slim Chicken’s was Arkansas’ first fast-food chicken-strip restaurant. Slim Chicken’s serves fresh chicken tenders and wings. r
The 1,700-SF building in Fayetteville can seat 40 diners inside and another 20 outside on a front deck, Hodson said. r
