Jarhead Joins Ranks
Bob Corscadden, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Tyson Foods Inc. in Springdale, has joined the board of directors at United Bank. A former U.S. Marine Corp. infantry officer, Corscadden is responsible for brand portfolio management, consumer advertising and a variety of other marketing chores at the world’s largest meat company.
He’s been with Tyson for a decade, but had previous marketing stints at SmithKline Beecham and Nabisco. Corscadden joins other outside board members David Sloan, president of Superior Automotive Group; John Irving, a CPA and owner of Irving & Co. in Fayetteville and Micki Harrington, managing partner of the Harrington Miller Neihouse & Krug law firm in Springdale.
Inside directors include three from the bank’s United Holding Co. umbrella in Don Pitts, UHC’s chairman; Craig Young, UHC’s CEO and Hank Breshears, UHC’s president. David Bordovsky, executive vice president and chief lending officer of United Bank, and Lynch are also on the board.
Lynch said Corscadden was chosen for being “an outstanding family man and community leader” and because of his marketing expertise.
