Old Post Office Deal Falls Through
A pending contract to lease Fayetteville’s historic Old Post Office has fallen through.
Bruce Bradshaw, Donna Russell and Roger Kelly had planned to open The Old Post Office Restaurant by the end of July in the 10,000-SF building in the center of Fayetteville’s downtown square.
But Ron Bumpass, whose mother Edna Bumpass owns the building, said negotiations had broken down. When asked if the potential tenants had backed out, Bumpass said, “I backed them out.”
Bumpass said he has hired the Nickle-Hill Group of Fayetteville to find a tenant for the building. They will be looking for a national chain restaurant, Bumpass said.
Bradshaw and Russell currently own Chuckles Restaurant in Springdale. That 4,222-SF building at 2773 W. Sunset Ave. is currently for sale.
