WRMC Foundation Gala Nets $65,000 for Charity
Three hospital-related organizations received $21,700 each from funds raised by the Washington Regional Foundation’s 2003 Gala, “An Evening With the Neville Brothers.” The gala was April 1.
The groups benefiting were: Faith In Action, which provides non-medical services to enable the frail, elderly or disabled to remain at home; the Washington Regional Chaplain Education Program, which provides emotional and spiritual support for patients, families and hospital staff; and Washington Regional Hospice, which serves patients who are facing a life-threatening illness and their families.
Bill Rogers, senior vice president of the Foundation, said the three organizations chosen to benefit from the gala, “represent the heart of Washington Regional’s commitment to the community.”
