Walton Bimmer a Bummer

We saw an unusual auction on eBay in mid-November.

It was for a 1974 BMW 2002 tii that had been owned by Todd Walton, “son of Sam Walton of Wal-Mart fame,” the ad stated.

The only problem is Mr. Sam didn’t have a son named Todd. He had three sons, Rob, Jim and John. We have no idea who Todd Walton is, and apparently neither does the person in Oklahoma City who put the Bimmer (the official spelling of the car’s nickname) up for sale on eBay.

The car was selling for $510 when we saw it. The reserve price hadn’t been met, and there were almost seven days left to go in the auction.
