Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Signs Agreement With Thrifty Car Rental

Walmart.com, the Internet site for Wal-Mart Stores Inc., has signed a marketing and sales agreement to provide flat rate prices for Thrifty Car Rental automobiles.
Thrifty, a unit of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc., will provide nationwide flat rates of $29.95 a day for compact vehicles and $39.95 a day for intermediate vehicles through Walmart.com, which will direct customers to a co-branded 800 number to make reservations.
The agreement provides an addition to Wal-Mart’s other travel services, which include hotel and cruise specials.
Wal-Mart, the largest company in the world, is based in Bentonville.
