Springdale-based Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. announced on June 27 that it is projecting second-quarter unaudited gross sales to exceed $10.5 million. That would be an increase of more than $2 million over the same period ending June 30, 2001.

The previous record for AERT was $9.6 million for the first quarterofo 2002 which ended March 31. The company also expects record cash flow and increased profits for the second quarter.

AERT chairman Joe Brooks said the company is “finalizing construction and bringing on-line significant additional production capacity during July at it’s composite manufacturing facility in Springdale.” Brooks said this was a necessity due to the “increasing demand for AERT products.”

The annual meeting of stockholders of AERT will be held at the Northwest Arkansas Holiday Inn Convention Center in Springdale at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 26.
