Fat Toney?s Moves, Lucky Luke Opens No. 2
Toney Goucher has moved his Fat Toney’s Bar-B-Que about half a block down the street, from 1301 to 1317 N. Garland Ave. The move gives Goucher more space. Goucher closed at the old location at the end of January and planned to open at the new location in late March.
Lucky Luke’s BBQ moved into the old Fat Toney’s location. Lucky Luke’s is owned by Brian and Sara Smith. They also have a location in Springdale, at 501 Sanders Ave., that has been open since July 4, 2001. Lucky Luke’s, named for the Smith’s 1-year-old son, was scheduled to open in Fayetteville on April 1.
In January, Chad Rose opened Hutchins BBQ in Bentonville in the building that previously housed Uncle Jay’s Bar-B-Q, which closed in October. Hutchins BBQ is in a 1,500-SF building that can seat 70 diners. Rose is a former airline pilot who was laid off as a result of the September 11 terrorism. Hutchins is managed by Dakota Corwin and Scott Huggins.
