Headquartered in Westport, Conn., Ryan Partnership has opened a promotion agency office in Bentonville. Nationally, the company manages special product promotions for Pillsbury, Kraft Foods, Lever Brothers and Heinz/Ore-Ida. Nokia, Nextel and IBM have also used the firm’s services.

In Northwest Arkansas Ryan Retail Zone seeks to work with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and the surrounding vendor community, said Vice President and General Manager Rusty Brock.

The three-man office offers a different service from standard advertising agencies, Brock said, because it publicizes specific campaigns for its clients. Possible promotional tie-ins include point-of-sale displays and radio advertisements.

Ryan Retail Zone operates in a small office in Beau Terre office park, and Ryan Partnership maintains offices in Westport, Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago. Brock said the company’s 300-plus employees support the Bentonville office with advice, experience and contacts.
