Only in-home demonstrations sell Kirby vacuum cleaners, and only Geoffrey Presley repairs them. His new business, The Kirby Guy, recently opened as the single factory-authorized service center in Northwest Arkansas for the well-known cleaning appliances.

Each Kirby comes equipped with a lifetime-guarantee, and Presley repairs problems with the machines’ all-metal motors. He said the models that he repairs are often about 15 years old.

Presley first became familiar with the vacuums in 1993 when he began selling them door-to-door. Although he continues to sell the machines on the side, Presley also stocks The Kirby Guy with carpet shampoo, vacuum bags and accessories.

A dedicated salesman, Presley wouldn’t quote any prices for the machines, because he couldn’t demonstrate the product simultaneously.
