Despite reports to the contrary, Entre Computer Center has not closed its doors for good. The company was bought in December by Arkansas Information Systems Inc. The Joplin-based company plans to continue Entre’s services from its Missouri offices.

“We’re trying to do this as quickly as possible,” says Jason Talley, chairman of the new company. “We don’t want to leave customers stranded out there. We want to continue the service that Entre has provided in the past.”

Arkansas Information Services will have an office in Fayetteville, but the size of that office is uncertain. Many of Entre’s employees have left for jobs with other companies. (several were just hired by Compusave in Fayetteville).

Carry Baggett, the former president of Entre, will work for ISO Information Superhighway On-Ramp, the company that bought Entre’s ISP division in October.
