Virtual Private Network Comes to Arkansas
Kim Woodson is convinced that virtual private networks will change the way that the world does business, which is why his company just invested $500,000 to bring the technology to Arkansas.
CSW Net of Danville believes it will be the first company in the state to market the virtual private network concept. It allows a person in one location to dial into another company’s computer system and access an individual desktop. The remote computer would have access to every file stored in the host computer and be able to use all of the host’s extensions.
“When ABC Corp. needs to do some work on XYZ Corp.’s system, they can dial in and nothing to it,” says Woodson. CSW Net is still in the process of installing the program, but it will be ready to handle customers this month.
