Most Area Hospitals Use Northwest’s Laundry
Northwest Health System has used outside firms for its debt collections for several years, says Georgia McCurdy, vice-president of marketing and development. Recently, the center also has farmed out its payroll to a Tulsa company.
But Northwest is itself an outsource provider for one service needed by hospitals: laundry.
The laundry, built in 1994, provides services for Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Bates Medical Center in Bentonville, Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville and St. Mary’s Hospital. The laundry, which offers 24-hour turnaround service, does 3.1 million pounds annually.
