Tyson Forms Division to Recruit Workers
Tyson Foods Inc. created a division, the Northwest Arkansas Employment Center in Lowell, to fill the vacancies at its corporate headquarters and Northwest Arkansas plants.
The center hires people to work hourly jobs and drive local truck routes, as well as perform office and clerical duties and the corporate headquarters and plants in the two-county area.
“We have 6,500 people working in the two counties, so we hire a lot of folks,” says Tyson spokesman Ed Nicholson. The center’s 12 employees place about 50 people every week.
