McDonald?s to Open Aug. 26 in Bentonville

Bentonville’s new McDonald’s restaurant, one of the first in Arkansas to use the company’s “Made for You” food preparation system, is scheduled to open Aug. 26.
The restaurant will be located at 100 N. 46th St., near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and U.S. 71B.
The new system is designed to improve food taste and quality as well as customer service. Bill Mathews, who along with his brother Walter owns the Northwest Arkansas McDonald’s franchises, says the system will provide fresher, custom-made burgers. A computer will be used to send order information from the cashiers to the cooks. The company plans to pay half of the $25,000 cost for franchisees to install the new cooking systems.
