Garrett Named Business Editor at Northwest Arkansas Times

Rusty Garrett, who has been employed by the Northwest Arkansas Times for the past 20 years, took over May 28 as editor of the Fayetteville newspaper’s business section.
Garrett replaced Gwen Rule, who is now an account executive in the Fayetteville office of Mangan Holcomb & Partners, an advertising and public relations agency based in Little Rock. Rule had been business editor at the Times since January 1996.
In addition to serving as managing editor and city editor at different times, Garrett has covered Fayetteville, Springdale and Washington County beats for the Times.
“I think I’ve done everything but throw papers here,” says Garrett.
