The Dirty Word

We hear Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has asked “vendors” to refer to themselves as “suppliers.” The word first came down about a year ago but apparently doesn’t apply to Sam’s Club vendors.

So what’s wrong with the word “vendors?” We’re not sure. We called Wal-Mart’s public relations office about this several times, but we didn’t hear back from them.
