Dominoes in Play
The exodus of Stephens Sports Management has set observers to musing how the lineup of advertisers for the shows, which are dominated by central Arkansas firms, might change.
Some are scratching three with obvious Stephens connections from the list: Stephens Inc., Alltel Corp. and Dillard’s Inc.
Also, bean counters are wondering how this change will impact the wallets of two Stephens clients: Houston Nutt and Nolan Richardson.
Both coaches are the financial beneficiaries of their respective shows. We understand their individual paychecks for the shows are somewhere south of $250,000.
Of course, the Razorback Foundation could step in and make up any difference should the shows suffer lost revenue from disaffected advertisers.
