Internet capabilities allowed Lee Brooks and Steve Jones to bring personal service into planning for the future with their new business, Brooks Investment Group. Using research and technology from the Internet, Brooks and Jones serve their customers by laying out a custom plan of investment for each client. Only Brooks and Jones serve as representatives for Brooks Investment Group, so the two share experience and expertise to lay out an investment plan.

Many of the Brooks Investment Group’s clients are nearing retirement and need a plan for serious investment, and the firm offers a variety of options. A financial partner for Brooks Investment Group is New York-based Bear Strearns Securities.

Opening their 1,200-SF office last month, Brooks and Jones used about $25,000 for start-up costs.

Both formerly affiliated with a larger investment group, Brooks and Jones broke away from the company to form their independent brokerage firm for Northwest Arkansas.

“We have to do a lot of face-to-face work with our clients,” Brooks said. Sitting down with the clients is personally important to Brooks, but most clients can also monitor their accounts on the Internet.
