Benson Hedges Out

Meriam Benson, an area field representative for Southwestern Bell for 18 years, is hanging up her office telephone on March 31. After 30 years with Southwestern Bell, first in the Fayetteville office and then as the representative for Bell’s territory from Springdale north, Benson is retiring.

Benson, who has been active in community activities throughout the region, says she and her husband, Terry, who retired from Bell a decade ago, plan to do some traveling. They do plan to stay in the region, however, so it’s quite possible Benson will be spotted in the community again.
