Rob Brothers/Banking Rainmaker
While several banks have carved their own niche in Benton County, Arvest Bank has a stronghold on the Rogers market. And president Rob Brothers is continuing the precedent set before him.
rA native of Joplin, Mo., Brothers has been with the same organization for the last 22 years in Rogers. It recently switched to the Arvest name, but Brothers has helped keep the same image regardless of the company logo.
rBrothers said he has had chances to leave Rogers over the years, but always felt like the pasture was always greener right where he was.
r”All of the communities in Northwest Arkansas are good communities,” Brothers said, “but I feel like Rogers is the pick of the litter. And I want to help this community get better and better. It’s just like the old Chamber slogan — It’s a great place to live, work and play.”
rArvest, owned by the Walton family, is the preeminent bank in a town filled with several successful bank groups. In fact, several Arvest people were considered for the Banking Rainmaker of Rogers. Former President and current Chairman Carl Baggett, Executive Vice President Dick Trammel and Senior Vice President Gary Kleck were also mentioned favorably by area business people.
