Little Rock-based Stephens Inc., a full-service investment banking firm, should have its Northwest Arkansas headquarters in a new, $3.2 million home by May 1.

Construction on the two-story, 25,000-SF building at 3425 N. Futrall Drive in Fayetteville, will begin Nov. 1.

Stephens joined Little Rock developer Robert East Co. Inc. to form SEFAY LLC for the project. The general contractor is East-Harding Inc.

Stephens’ Fayetteville office is currently on North Gregg Avenue. There are 10 employees at the Fayetteville office working in the firm’s private client group and public finance division.

Stephens will lease the entire 11,660 SF of the top floor.

Law firm Friday, Eldredge & Clark has agreed to lease 4,000 SF of the bottom floor.

Polk Stanley Yeary Architects Ltd. designed the building.

Robert East has been in the developing business for 20 years and has worked closely with Stephens for the last 15 years.

The building will have a high-speed data hookup with prewired fiber and as much bandwidth as possible available to the tenants. It will also be all electric, with the most energy-efficient double-pane glass. Tenants will have separate meters so they can control their own utility bills.
