Fiori receives Patriot Award

The Arkansas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that Sam Fiori, owner of the Fort Smith-based KMAC Enterprises was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its employees who serve in the Arkansas National Guard and Reserves.

Fiori was nominated for being highly supportive of the National Guard and Reserve by his National Guard Component employee. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the Nation’s Guard and Reserve Units. Fiori was nominated for this Award by employee Richard Patrick.

Patrick was mobilized in 2003-2004 and is mobilized again beginning in April 2006 to present.

There are 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserves, according to the ESGR.
