It’s Work, Not A Vacation, At Upcoming Tourism Conference

The 37th annual Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism officially kicks off in Little Rock on Sunday, March 6 at the Statehouse Convention Center.
The meeting is a who’s who in the Arkansas tourism, travel and hospitality industries. Several hundred officials from around the state will gather for three days of conferences and activities.
The schedule is as follows:
Sunday, March 6
11 am – Registration begins
6 pm – Early-Bird Party at the River Market
Monday, March 7
8:30 am – Opening Ceremonies/Ribbon Cutting at the H.U. Lee International Gate & Garden
9 am – Jake Poore, Ex-Disney leader, will present “Discover the Magic Behind Creating Exceptional Customer Experiences”
11:45 am – R. Byron Carlock, Jr., President and CEO, CNL Lifestyle Company LLC, will present “Making the Most of What You Have”
Tuesday, March 8
7:15 pm – The Arkansas Tourism Industry Henry Awards will be presented at the Arkansas Hospitality Association Governor’s Banquet. Gov. Mike Beebe is the keynote speaker.
Tourism is a nearly $6 billion a year industry in Arkansas.
