Capt. Marvin Booker of Charleston, deputy chief of the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith Police Department, was recently awarded a senior certificate by the Office of Law Enforcement Standards. The certificate is the highest level of certification a law enforcement officer can attain and is based on the officer’s total law enforcement experience, training hours and college semester hours.

Booker, recognized last year for surpassing 20 years of service with the UAFS department, now has 30 years of experience in law enforcement.
