Little Rock Plans 10-year Clinton Library Celebration
During the month of November, the Clinton Presidential Library celebrates its 10th anniversary, and residents and tourists should find plenty to do.
The story of the 10-year anniversary is the cover story written by John Brummett in our latest magazine edition of Talk Business & Politics, which you can read here.
For months, a team of convention and visitors representatives, city leaders, arts and cultural stakeholders, and library officials began planning the celebration that will include lectures, exhibits, concerts and other events.
Gretchen Hall, President and CEO of the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, says the planning with arts and cultural attraction partners started early in order to create 10 days of events and activities leading up to the 10th anniversary.
“The main goal was to highlight Little Rock’s decade of progress since the Presidential Center opened and create a citywide celebration of events for residents and visitors to enjoy. There are more than 30 events and exhibits scheduled, and we feel that visitors will have an abundance of things to see and do while they are here,” Hall said.
Hall will be a guest on this week’s edition of Talk Business & Politics, which airs Sundays at 10 a.m. on KATV, Ch. 7.
Hall adds that she hopes the November celebration can increase Little Rock’s profile regionally, nationally and internationally.
“The Presidential Center has been a true catalyst for moving our destination forward, especially as it relates to tourism,” said Hall. “In addition, this anniversary gave us the opportunity to work collectively with all of our attraction partners and showcase the breadth and diversity of all that the city has to offer.”
Talk Business & Politics will roll out a calendar at the beginning of the week to tout upcoming events, but a complete list can be found at this link. We’ll update our round-up of additional events at the beginning of next week.
