Hongkham Vilayvanh, age 65, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on June 20, 2026. He was born on October 20, 1961, in Vientiane, Laos, to Houmphanh and Mone Vilayvanh.

Hongkham was raised in Laos, where he completed his high school education in Vientiane before beginning a life defined by hard work, dedication, and perseverance. In 1985, he began his career as a metal fabricator with Gerdau, a profession he faithfully devoted himself to for many years.

Hongkham found joy in playing soccer and singing. He loved music and enjoyed sharing his talents with those around him. A devoted Buddhist, he found strength and guidance in his faith throughout his life.

He is survived by his siblings, Paula, Carina (Souk) Somsanouk, Mouksavanh, and Phouthieng Vilayvanh; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A blessing service will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
