Earl Clayton Bonds, who resided near Ozark, Arkansas, died Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on September 14, 1939, in Cecil, Arkansas, to the late Rudy Clayton Bonds and Melba Ada (Walker) Bonds. He was 86 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Avery Mantooth; a brother, Jack Bonds; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Bonds.

Earl was a 1958 graduate of County Line High School. For many years, Earl was a dairy and cattle farmer. He was founder and former fire chief of Oak Bend/Etna Fire Department, member of the River Valley Tractor Club, an avid gardener and beekeeper, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Earl served in the National Guard, and was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Bro. Shane Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery, located south of Ozark, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (McGee) Bonds; two daughters, Karen Fisher and husband Keifer of Spiro, Oklahoma, and Terri Sims and husband Tim of Lavaca; two sons, Kevin Bonds and wife Lori of Ozark and Paul Bonds of West Fork; three sisters, Willa Pruitt and Carol Wilhite and husband Josh, all of Ozark, and Ione Daniel of Clarksville; (10) grandchildren; (15) great-grandchildren; and (3) great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Randal Bonds, Greg Wilhite, Bryan Pruitt, Todd Gragg, Winston Swaim, and John Daniel.

Honorary pallbearers are Will Swaim, Johnny Pruitt, Clay Bonds, and Kirk Fisher.

The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Charleston.
