Toll Brothers buys Buffington Homes properties for over $111 million

More than 235 acres and 240 residential lots in Benton and Washington counties recently changed hands in separate transactions worth over $111.53 million.

The property transactions come after Fort Washington, Pa.-based luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers Inc. said it will acquire Fayetteville-based luxury homebuilder Buffington Homes. Financial terms of that deal were not disclosed.

A Toll Brothers affiliate bought 25.54 acres at 4698 E. Misson Blvd. in Fayetteville; 51 lots in the third phase of the Magnolia Park addition at West Lierly Lane and North Rupple Road in Fayetteville; 29 lots and 12.9 acres in the first phase of the Parkside addition on West County Line Road in Elm Springs; 78 lots in the first and second phases of the Blossom Woods addition at South Concord Street and West Laurel Avenue in Rogers; 12 lots and 71.74 acres in the McKissic Springs addition at South Vaughn and Motley roads, and 97.38 acres in the Opal addition on Southwest Regional Airport Boulevard (Arkansas Highway 12), both in Bentonville; 51 lots and 29.4 acres in the first, second and third phases of the Evening Star addition on Gaston Road in Cave Springs; and 19 lots in the second and third phases of the Cottages at the Park addition on West County Line Road in Springdale.

The sellers were Buffington Homes affiliates, managed by Clay Carlton, founding partner and co-owner of Buffington Homes. City Title & Closing LLC was the title agent.

The Buffington Homes affiliates paid $24.01 million for the property in separate transactions between February 2019 and June 2025. The sellers were June Ball and Stephen Ball; Bentonville School District; Ellis Estates Fayetteville LLC, managed by Chris Elkins; Highland LLC, managed by Cynthia Coughlin; Landmarc Custom Homes LLC, whose member is Timothy Boudrey; Margaret McFarland Revocable Living Trust, whose trustee is Phyllis Shackleford; and Thrilled Land Investments LLC, managed by Robert David and Julie Vaught.
