Blew & Associates P.A., a Fayetteville-based civil engineering, land surveying and environmental firm, recently acquired Fayetteville engineering firm Jorgensen + Associates. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This was Blew & Associates’ second acquisition in two years, following its acquisition of Fulcrum Resources Environmental, a Southern California-based environmental consulting firm.
“We are proud to welcome Jorgensen + Associates to the Blew family,” CEO Buckley Blew said. “For more than 41 years, the firm has built a strong reputation for quality and integrity under the leadership of its founder, Dave Jorgensen. Dave has also been a personal mentor to me throughout my career, and I have long admired the culture and reputation he created.
“Justin and Blake Jorgensen have done an outstanding job continuing their father’s legacy and growing the company into the respected organization it is today. We are grateful for the trust they have placed in Blew to carry that legacy forward.”
Jorgensen + Associates, which was founded in 1985, will be integrated into the Blew brand. Jorgensen + Associates’ office will close, but its engineers and surveyors will remain on staff. The deal will allow Blew to serve projects from initial acquisition and due diligence through engineering design and construction.
“Joining Blew allows us to expand the services available to our clients while continuing the work we’ve done in Northwest Arkansas for more than four decades,” co-owner Blake Jorgensen said. “Pairing our engineering expertise with Blew’s national platform means we can take on larger, more complex projects while keeping the responsiveness and technical quality our clients are used to.”
Founded in 1891, Blew & Associates has more than 300 employees and completes about 15,000 projects annually. Clients include developers, lenders, law firms, municipalities and institutional investors in all 50 states.
