Diann Ishmael

Diann Kay Ishmael, 74, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born on February 28, 1951, in Emporia, KS to the late Earl Holland and Velma McIlvain Holland. Diann was an exceptional homemaker, devoted daughter, sister and loving wife. She was well traveled and with her husband Bill lived in many states; Oklahoma, Tennessee, Ohio and California but she always returned to the Fort Smith area. She was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, where she was active in the Women’s Club and food services.

In addition to her parents, Diann is preceded in death by her husband, William Ishmael; two brothers, James and Tom Holland and a brother-in-law, Chuck Gill.

She is survived by her sister, Delain Gill of Garden City, KS; three brothers, Dennis Holland (Linda) of Abilene, KS, Donald Holland (Jeannie) of Lavaca, AR, Dana Holland (Lorena) of Winter Springs, FL and a sister-in-law, Rodena Holland of Andover, KS.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
