Opal Darlene Bonds, who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 22, 1946, in the Cravens Community, located north of Ozark, to the late Harley Allen Cagle and Opal Lea (McMath) Cagle. She was 79 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 60 years, Coy Jack Bonds.

Darlene was a 1964 graduate of Ozark High School. Darlene and Jack worked side-by-side as a true farm family. They were dairy, poultry, and beef cattle farmers for over 50 years. She was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Darlene loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strength, faith, and stubbornness. She loved to cook Sunday lunch for her family, camping, fishing, and reading. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Bro. Jeremy Flanagan officiating. Burial will follow at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery, located south of Ozark, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by a daughter, Christa Littlefield and husband J.P. of Cecil; a son, Randal Bonds and wife Candy of Cecil; a brother, Floyd Cagle and wife Donna of Alma; two sisters, Sue Holcomb and husband Ron and Brenda Howard and husband Gary, both of Mountainburg; her grandchildren, Harlee Haney and husband Derrick, Dillon Bonds and wife Sierra, Kalli Bonds, Sage Bonds, Owen Fain, and Evan Fain, all of Cecil, Jaci Bonds of Fort Smith, Amy Brewer and husband Justin of Van Buren, and Jeff Littlefield and wife Dorie of Cabot; her great-grandchildren, Reeve and Rhett Haney of Alma and Parker and Jones Littlefield of Cabot.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Dillon Bonds, Owen Fain, Evan Fain, Derrick Haney, Jeff Littlefield, and Justin Brewer.

Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Harlee Haney, Kallie Bonds, Jaci Bonds, Sage Bonds, Amy Brewer, Dorie Littlefield, and Sierra Bonds.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
