Anthony Herman Leding

Anthony Herman Leding, age 75, of Fort Smith passed from this life on October 8, 2025. Anthony was born on August 27, 1950 to William A. and Marie J. Leding.

Over the years, Anthony created fabulous art and architectural designs. He built his own dune buggy and enjoyed working on other automobile related projects. He also started a mushroom farm business, selling to grocery stores, and ran his own Christmas tree lot, along with other ventures throughout the years.

Anthony worked for and with DeWayne Fabor at Hardees Restaurants. He was a man of many talents who loved children and found joy in making others happy.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents Willian A. and Marie J. Leding; and two sisters Rose Ann Leding and Catherine Bernadine Klober.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his siblings, Mary Heiss, Cecilia Sloat, Celestine Eichler, William Leding, Theresa Jenkins, John Leding, Pat Leding, Mike Leding and Deloris Edwards; as well as dear friends Carlos Ceron, DeWayne Fabor, and Kareem Rollinson.

Visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 starting at 5:00 pm with the rosary at 6:30 pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10:00 am with graveside service at Calvary Cemetery after the funeral.

Pallbearers will be Mike Leding, Deloris Edwards, Gabriel Leding, Kareem Rollinson, Carlos Ceron, and DeWayne Fabor. Honorary Pallbearers are Dennis Rupp, John Leding, and John Hofrichter.

Reception will be held at the Elks Lodge 341, 5504 Massard Rd, Fort Smith, AR, 72903 after the graveside service at 12:30 pm.

A special “Thank You” to the Sacred Heart of Mary Line Dancers, Elks Lodge, and Woods Elementary retired staff.
