Gina Alber

Gina Alber 54, passed away on November 13, 2025 in Fort Smith. She was born December 20, 1970 in Gravette, AR to Ray Gene Choate and Irene (Peacock) Choate. Gina was a heavy equipment operator for a construction company, and she later had her own landscape company. She was a member of Community Bible Church, Hobe Runion’s Home Group, and she was a member of The Grateful Heads Group of Narcotics Anonymous. She loved going to Recovery meetings and helping others.

Gina loved to be outdoors. She loved to fish, going to the lake, and spending time with Gary. She enjoyed making jewelry, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Choate; and her brother, Gerald Choate.

Gina is survived by her husband Gary Alber; her daughter, Kendra Hayes of Muskogee, OK; step-daughter, Heather Alber of Fort Smith; her son, Alex Sweet and his wife Shelby, of Claremore, OK; step-sons, Chris and Nick Alber of Fort Smith; her mother, Irene Dickenson and husband Royce, of Siloam Springs, AR; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday November 22, 2025, from 1 – 2 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with the Funeral Service to begin at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Young, Terry English, Kevin Shepard, Todd Lovell, Pat Ross, and Benn Tarr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Larry Alber, Terry Foley, and Bob Campbell.
