Dolores J. Wilson (Scamardo) of Roland, Oklahoma passed from this life on September 13, 2025. She was born October 6, 1936 to Joseph and Julia Scamardo. Dolores graduated from St. Ann’s. She married William W. Wilson December 11, 1963. She retired from the Naval PX where she worked in accounting.
Dolores’s passions were her fur babies, football, collecting and her family. She was a devoted member of Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma.
Dolores is survived by her son, William W. Wilson Jr. and his wife Laurel; her sisters Joann Lutz and her husband Jim, and Mary Parker; nephews James and David; nieces Chris, Tina and Shelly; grandchildren Traci and William W. Wilson III; great-grandchildren William IV, Tori, CJ, and Damian; and her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Wilson; son Kurt Wilson; and granddaughter Elizabeth Wilson.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 3:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Visitation will take place an hour prior from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Dolores’s ashes will be laid to rest beside her husband in a private service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
