Vonda Jean Hemphill

Vonda Jean Hemphill of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was born on November 22, 1966, in Roland, Arkansas, to the late Huie Elmer Cossey and Velma Jean (Collier) Cossey. She was 58 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Danny Cossey and Huie Cossey, Jr.

For several years, Vonda worked in the school cafeteria at Greenwood Public Schools and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Fort Smith.

A family held memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 20th, at Calvary Assembly of God in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Beasley and husband Chris of Hackett and Rachel Gayer and husband Anthony of Van Buren; and two grandchildren, Raelynn Gayer and Emmilyn Beasley.
