Ruby Spencer

Ruby Mae Spencer, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on April 17, 1948, in Altus, Arkansas, to the late William Elmer Grimes and Gladys Marie (Howe) Grimes. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Buddy A. Spencer; and two brothers, Raymond Grimes and William Grimes.

Ruby was a member of Cedar Grove Community Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A family held memorial service will be at a later date.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Spencer; a daughter, Janice “Sissie” Moffet and husband Steve of Ozark; a brother, Jessie Grimes and wife Kaye of Fort Smith; a sister-in-law, Trish Grimes; (6) grandchildren, Shawna Cureton, Erin Guajardo, Kimberlee Cobb, Johnny Sarten, Dalton Sarten, and Mercedies Lewis; and (16) great-grandchildren, Natalie Cureton, Savannah Cureton, Kylie Cureton, Ryver-Irene Tulli, Dammen Brown, Draydon Brown, McKennaly Guajardo, Havannah Cobb, Cheyenne Sarten, Montana Sarten, Johnny Lee Sarten, Vanessa Sarten, Mark Harris, Dominic Harris, Aaron Harris, and Jaxton Lewis.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
