Myra (Missy) Armstrong Roebuck of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 in Fort Smith. She was born on October 15, 1935 in Fort Smith, AR, the daughter of Myra Payne Armstrong and Henry Clay Armstrong.

After graduating from Fort Smith High School and attending Hollins College and the University of Arkansas, Missy married Danny (James Daniel) Roebuck in June of 1956. In the early years, the family lived in Fort Smith, where Missy served as President of the local chapter of the Junior League.

After spending time in Little Rock, AR, El Paso, TX, Scottsdale, AZ and Walnut Creek, CA, the Roebucks returned to Fort Smith, where Missy was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church. She served as President of the Women’s Ministry, an Elder for the congregation, member of the wedding guild and head of her Women’s Circle for decades. She was also a leader on the planning committee for the church’s 150th anniversary, hosted countless luncheons at church and participated in all kinds of care teams.

Missy was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Danny Roebuck.

She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Roebuck of Durango, CO, granddaughter Page Buono of Flagstaff, AZ, grandson Andrew Buono of Birmingham, AL, and her son James Daniel Jr. (Bucky) Roebuck, of Little Rock, AR, granddaughters Mary Frances Roebuck and Rebecca Roebuck; brother-in-law Lewis Roebuck (Patsy) of Scottsdale, AZ, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

It is with deep gratitude, that the family would like to thank Chapel Ridge Health and Rehab, nurses and staff for Missy’s loving and excellent care.

Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, August 23rd at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith.
