Hanh Thi Huynh, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on April 29, 1957, in Vietnam, to Tao Van Huynh and Oi Thi Ho. In 1978, Hanh married the love of her life, Ut Van Nguyen, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion until his passing. She dedicated over 30 years of service as a janitor at Darby Middle School, where she was known for her hard work and kindness.
A devoted member of Vietnamese Baptist Church since 1980, Hanh actively served her faith community with unwavering commitment. She found joy in cooking and was famous for making the best egg rolls. Her love for gardening brought her peace, and she took great pride in tending to her flowers. Hanh will be remembered for her bubbly personality, selflessness, and generous heart. She always put others before herself, offering help whenever she could. Above all, she was a strong, devoted wife, mother, and faithful Christian. Her greatest joys in life were her children, her church, and her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her three children: Binh Hashim (Asim), Phuong Thanh Nguyen, and Darryl Farley; her niece, Angela Le; and her nephew, Nhut Dang.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ut Van Nguyen, and her cherished pet dog, Fred.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., also at Lewis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Thomas Le.
