Startup Village South has moved to a 2,100-square-foot office at 1 E. Center St. in Fayetteville.
Overseen by the University of Arkansas Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (OEI), Startup Village South was previously in the Hathcock Building in Fayetteville.

Landlord Mike Driver will lease the space to another occupant.

Startup Village South can accommodate up to 17 UA-affiliated startups. Its office is adjacent to the recently relocated Arkansas Small Business Technology and Development Center (ASBTDC).

Zoe Buonaiuto, OEI’s director of business incubation, said the relocation is part of a larger mission to create a central location in downtown Fayetteville where founders can meet other entrepreneurs and clients and receive support from organizations focused on helping them grow.

“This is the primary benefit of the move: We’re building a nexus of entrepreneurship and small business support in downtown Fayetteville,” Buonaiuto said. “ASBTDC, Startup Junkie and Startup Village will be in the same building, providing a central location for U of A students and affiliates to get help in launching their ventures in one building.”

Existing Startup Village South tenants include Venku, Nyarai Skincare, Renewed Robotics and TrailPilot. Because of space constraints, only UA students, faculty, staff and alumni can apply for membership to Startup Village South. However, all “affiliates” can apply to Startup Village North in Bentonville.

Affiliates include existing or past participants in any business incubator sponsored by OEI or ventures supported by ASBTDC. Accepted members receive an initial six-month term, which can be extended by six months. The first year of membership is free. A second and final year of membership ranges from $25 to $50 per person per month.
