The Stitt Group in Rogers earns BBB award
Rogers-based The Stitt Group was one of four Arkansas companies to receive an ethics award from the Better Business Bureau.
Founded in 1978, The Stitt Group is a residential energy efficiency and solar energy company with 20 employees. Marketing manager Laura Toloza said this is the first time the company has received a Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau. It’s the 10th anniversary of the Torch Awards.
According to a news release, a Torch Award is the “most prestigious honor presented to local organizations for their dedication to integrity and ethical business practices.” A panel of independent judges selects honorees based on how they implement the following ethical business practices: character, culture, community and customers. Awards are given in four categories based on the organization’s size.
“We are honored to receive the Better Business Bureau Torch Award,” said David Stitt, CEO of The Stitt Group. “This award reflects our team’s dedication to a culture of exceptional customer service, honesty and living out one of our core values, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ This commitment to our customers is why we have been in business for over 46 years.”
Along with The Stitt Group, the other Arkansas recipients of the Torch Award this year include Roller Funeral Homes of Little Rock, Tipton & Hurst of Little Rock and Secondhand Smoke LLC of Fayetteville.
Honorees were recognized at an awards ceremony and luncheon hosted May 22 at Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock. Markous Jewett, vice president of the Academies of Central Arkansas, was the keynote speaker.
