Missouri engineering firm opens 1st Arkansas office
Joplin, Mo.-based Allgeier, Martin and Associates (AMA), an engineering firm, has opened a Bentonville office in the Beau Terre office park near the intersection of Interstate 49 and Arkansas Highway 72.
Michael Keaton, a civil engineer with 16 years of experience, is the office leader. The company recently promoted him to vice president.
According to a news release, AMA provides civil and electrical engineering services to public entities like municipalities, counties and utilities. The firm specializes in site development, stormwater, trails and sidewalks, and wastewater collection.
The Bentonville office will have four employees with plans to add additional staff. Among the company’s Northwest Arkansas clients are the cities of Bentonville, Decatur, Fayetteville and Siloam Springs. Rogers Water Utilities, Carroll Electric, Ozarks Electric Cooperative and Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative are also clients.
“We have many employees that have ties to the area and spend time there enjoying all the region has to offer,” said AMA First Vice President Chris Erisman. “This will allow us to further enhance our presence in Northwest Arkansas and develop new, long-lasting relationships for the future.”
AMA started in 1940 and has about 140 employees. It has additional Missouri offices in Kansas City, Rolla and Springfield and an Oklahoma office in Tulsa.
